A member asked:

Are there any side effects for diabetics and people with high blood pressure that take raspberry ketone?

Odd: I know that dr. Oz is recommending this for weight loss but it really is out of the main stream. I read the links on his site. I'm not aware of any research that documents potential adverse reaction. Ground raspberry (hydrastis canadensis) is safe if used not used in excess but in od can cause slow heart beat, delerium, hallucinations, low bp, seizure, respiratory failure, and death.

Only your wallet: Rasberry ketones are of no value for any known medical condition.. They will not help you lose weight, except in your wallet. Save your money and spend it on good food and exercise. Don't get your medical knowledge from friends, tv, the internet, or dr. Oz -- he's rarely right. To lose weight, rats had to take pounds of the stuff each day. Stay away.
