Perhaps: ...Briefly. The plasma donation contains a lot of proteins, which help draw thin fluid into the blood vessels and keep it there. In the right (?Or "wrong"?) person, the donation might allow some extra fluid to seep out into the tissues--usually in combination with gravity effect, so feet/ankles/lower legs where seen most--until horizontal (like in bed) or proteins replaced. Temporary.
