A member asked:

Is taking qvar and singulair (montelukast) together generally considered safe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asthma control: Yes, it is safe to take the 2 medications together. Qvar and singulair (montelukast) are often used as "controller" medications for asthma. Hopefully by using them concurrently, you will have to use your bronchodilator ( such as albuterol or xopenex) less often.
