How can washing your hands prevent you from getting a staph infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below:: Washing with soap & water is proven to be best way of minimizing the transfer of bugs (germs) from one surface to another, or from one person to another. These bugs are everywhere and under nails, so frequent washing helps to minimize the risk of transmitting infection. Some people normally carry the staph germs on their skin/under nails. By touching anything/anybody can pass bugs to your hands.
