Should not: The best thing to do is to see your doctor, be appropriately diagnosed and treated. If this is bacterial and untreated it may extent upwards and produce kidney infection.

You probably cannot: Cystitis is usually treated with antibiotics for a short period. Would not trust otc products or "natural" remedies.
