Phone call: A call to your local dentist is the best way to treat this problem. If the tooth is infected as you say, it either needs root canal therapy or it needs extraction, two procedures that you cannot perform on yourself. Call today and feel better today.

Infection: There are no home remedies for an abscessed tooth. And the longer you put off treatment the more that infection will spread. There are 2 choices, root canal/crown or extraction/implant/crown. Just extracting the tooth without replacement will lead to 'posterior bite collapse," lookout up. Homeopathics and OTC's didn't prevent your infection, and won't cure it.
