Integrative therapy: Alternative treatments for depression and anxiety include acupuncture, hypnotherapy, biofeedback, meditation, coaching, and herbal supplementation. Some herbs to improve anxiety are chamomile, lemon balm, & valerian. St. John's wort has been shown to improve mild depression. Of course, it is best to see a trained holistic professional before starting this or any alternative or traditional therapy.

As already : Mentioned acupuncture can be very effective in the treatment of ptsd, generalized anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, panic disorder, anxiety disorder nos etc. I would use it as an adjunct with standard and other holistic medical approaches.
