What are good ways to reduce the side effects of radiotherapy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Body location, type of radiation, + chemo all relevant. During and wks after radiation one can have inflammation symptoms re: organs/tissues treated (soreness, nausea, loose stools, fatigue). Avoid foods that may add additional irritation to the inflamed parts. Be diligent w/ skin care. Try to eat small freq meals, stay hydrated, exercise as possible.
