A member asked:

I have had 3 different physicians prescribe lotrisone, (clotrimazole and betamethasone) while 2 others said not to use it for anything?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone): Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) has Betamethasone (a steroid that is anti-inflammatory and prevents inflammation that could help fight off fungus) and Clotrimazole (an antifungal cream). Many believe that the Betamethasone counteracts the Clotrimazole and believe that if there is a fungal infection, it should be treated first, then use a steroid cream to help calm the inflammation.
