Why are cramps are a early sign of pregnancy?

Shouldn't be: Early pregnancy is most often associated with very few symptoms. The most common are breast tenderness, nausea, vomiting, bloating. Cramping should not be a symptom of pregnancy. If cramping occurs while pregnant then a visit to your ob/gyn is warranted.
