Rarely: I am a pain management physician in las vegas as well as an anestheisologist who takes care of surgical gallbladder patients. I am not aware of any relationship between cholecystitis/gallstones and low back pain. Best strategy is to get gb treated medically or surgically and see if you still have lbp.

After open gallbladder surgery, i've had really bad lower right side back pain and spasms. I mostly slept sitting up after. Can that be the cause?
Persistent right flank pain for weeks. Lower back, kidney area under ribs, above belly button, gallbladder area. Bad taste in mouth. Urine test & culture neg. Gallbladder u/s neg, bloodwork neg. What else could it be? Kidney u/s next?
How frequently does a bad gallbladder come back with tests saying it is fine?
Squeezing pain on lower right ribs goes thru to back. Worse when I stand up & start moving. Lasts about 15 secs. No gallbladder. Not heart (tested).
