Antioxidant: I believed studies have failed to showed the benefits of vitamin e in the primary and secondary prevention of heart disease. Some studies suggest low incident of heart disease in middle age men and women. Actually, the aha do not recommend vit e to prevent heart problems but recommend the consumption of food high in antioxidants.

Antioxidant: Vitamin e is an antioxidant. Ldl cholesterol is much more harmful when it is oxidized & vit e prevents this from happening. There are very impressive research studies showing the benefits of vit e preventing heart disease- see http://www.Healthy.Net/scr/article.Aspx?Id=557 it is crucial to take only natural e with mixed tocopherols.Studies on synthetic e (dl-alpha tocpherol) suggest it's harmful!
