Non REM and REM: Non rem is basically light sleep and deep sleep. Light sleep is both falling asleep and the getting ready for deep sleep. Light sleep is usually at least 50% of your nights sleep. Deep sleep is a deeper sleep where the body repairs and regenerates. It should be 15-25% of your sleep. Rem sleep is dream sleep and should be 15-25% of sleep.
