No exact answer: Unfortunately there is no exact answer to your question. Some people have reflux with acid coming high in the throat (pharynx) causing swallowing dysfunction. For others the inflammation the reflux causes on the esophagus makes them have the feeling of food "stuck" in the throat or chest. Others develop structures (narrowing) of the esophagus...Each case needs individual evaluation.
