Boils: A boil is a localized collection of pus and bacteria. This requires drainage and, often, antibiotics. As staph is extremely common, delay in treatment is not recommended as it can spread. A simple procedure (incision and drainage) can be performed to remove the collection of pus and antibiotics is usually started by mouth.
