If waxing, pick a spa with a good reputation and clean facilities. If shaving, use a good, clean razor and plenty of shave gel. Watch for any growing red, tender bumps that could indicate an infection.

Waxing / shaving: There can be side effects from shaving/ waxing bikini area. BUT don't shave/ wax perineum or vagina- the tissues are just too delicate.
