LONG ANSWER: There are different preparations that are metabolized at different rates. Also some kinds are more or less potent than others. And there are some that affect different sides of the problem.Psychological response to living with adhd often requires therapy as much as medicine.

For ADHD use stimula: The chemistry of ADHD is well known as is the chemistry of methylphenidate and amphetamines. Therefore if these medications are not effective, then what is treated is not ADHD. Other medications are treating symptoms of conditions that mimic the symptoms of ADHD, but are not ADHD.
