If you need a cystoscopy, will you be knocked out when its performed? will it be painful when you wake up? can it fix issues while being performed?

It depends.: If you are just doing a cystoscopy, in most cases this can be done while you are awake. If the surgeon is doing another procedure at the same time through the cystoscope, then you may need additional anesthesia. Check with your surgeon.
