Medical education: Educate your self about your condition and your treatment options to include cystoscopy. Find out the risks involved with having the surgery vice not having the surgery. Write down your questions before you see your physician. Let the medical team know about your concerns.

Should not be: Normally a local anesthetic gel is injected(not with a needle but squirted in by a small tube) before putting the scope in.You will feel the bladder filling with water.It is a very routine procedure and you should do fine:)
