Heres an exercise: I use this often with clients. Write a short (5 items) list of your best qualities or strengths. Don't minimize them or make them into negatives. We naturally gravitate toward activities and people that maximize our strengths. You should be able to see things in the world that motivate you from simple to complex, superficial to deeply meaningful. Then choose one and point yourself toward it.
