Yes: motivation and attention are complex processes. In ADHD, one may have incredible drive/motivation/attention when the mind is stimulated in certain ways but then complete lack when not stimulated in such ways. In the end, working to identify the environments/activities that best align with what naturally drives you is the most effective. Treatments can often be helpful in other ways as well.
