A member asked:

How long will it takes to lower my liver enzymes?current reading is 160..i follow my doctors advice of proper diet and lots of water..fish oil ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on cause: And level of elevated liver enzyme tests. Viral hepatitis, drugs, toxins, alcohol, gallstones, trauma, and NASH are all possibilities. If you can reverse the underlying condition, your tests should return to normal in a few weeks to few months. Sometimes, though, you can't cure the underlying condition so fast.
