A member asked:

Im pregnant and had to have a rabies shot; will it hurt my baby?

2 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Most likely not.: Because of the potential consequences of inadequately treated rabies exposure, and because there is no indication that fetal abnormalities have been associated with rabies vaccination, pregnancy is not considered a contraindication to postexposure prophylaxis.

No: There is no evidence that the rabies vaccination harms the fetus.
