Parotid swelling: Parotid swelling can be further evaluated by radiographic imaging, ultrasound, and a sialogram (x-ray test of the salivary duct connecting the parotid gland to the inside of the mouth).

Swelling in parotid: What did ENT base opinion on? What did dentist base "not tmj" on? Any lump or mass should be evaluated clinically--by anatomic study like ct/mri or if obvious lesion--biopsy. There are benign tumors of parotid that are common, but more so in older males.

Salivary stone: Did anyone mention a salivary stone or clogged salivary duct to the parotid gland. ? Sounds like you need another opinion from an oral surgeon. Dyes can be used in the gland to help with diagnosis. Good luck!

Possible mass: It may be the condyle or coronoid process of the mandible. Has it been needle biopsied? Any imaging such as ct? Mri with mouth open and closed may help.

Need other opinions: Something could be very wrong. I'd see a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon for evaluation. Also consider another ENT opinion. Soon.
