I had a a rash on both my thighs. from pictures online it looked exactly like folliculitis. i went to a dermatologist and she said it is herpes. but i have it on both thighs and dosent look like a herpes rash. can it be herpes?

Your own assessment sound right. This would be exceedingly atypical for herpes. If the dermatologist really suspected herpes, she should have tested you to confirm the diagnosis. Get a second opinion, either from another dermatologist or perhaps an STD expert. Good luck.
