Punctate: It usually is a descriptive term for a small round lesion. It is nondiagnostic. It could be an old scar,calcium deposit or a growth. The radiologist,along with a pulmonologist, would be helpful in suggesting further testing or options like needle biopsy,mri,follow-up ct scans,etc.
