Post l5-s1 tlif 15mo. ^ pain/numbness & balance issues since. mri yesterday=l1-2, l3-5 disc bulges & l5-s1 mild residual broad-based posterior disc bulge. how can there be a residual disc bulge @ fused level if disc removed & disc space fused?

All back surgeries are not fully successful, and not unusual to see post-operative spondylosis both above and below fusions after a few years. Have NO clue why yours was complicated. Ask your surgeon if the operative site is unstable. Perhaps physical therapy with McKenzie Back Exercises would be appropriate at this point.
