Past 2yrs had foreign body sensation in both eyes, optician diagnosed dry eyes & drops. recently did a detox and the sensations went in days. is it likely l had some kind of parasites? what might this be?

It is unlikely you had a parasite if the optician examined your eyes and did not see any. The optician is most likely right that you had dry eyes is the cause of the foreign body sensation in your eyes. It could be intermittent based on exposure and weather conditions. It may also depend on your level of hydration.
