Here are some things to help: Reduce stress: Stress is the primary cause of daytime grinding, reducing your stress levels is one of the best ways to prevent and treat this problem. Do mouth exercises: Mouth exercises and massages can help reduce pain and relieve muscle tension caused by teeth grinding. Reduce caffeine and alcohol intake: Caffeine and alcohol can trigger muscles to be hyperactive.

Rather than treating symptoms, find the cause. If it's anxiety, see a mental health professional. If it's malocclusion, see an Orthodontist. was you have learned there re many options, but they require professional care. OTC's are not curative.
