Today is the 3rd day of my daughter with covid since i tested her, i'm giving her giltuss ex expectorant. i'm giving it to her because her cough is dry (no phlegm) and hr throat is itchy. is there anything else i should do?

Have her drink lots of fluids,gargle with warm salt water,suck on lozenges. She may not produce phlegm even with that cough syrup. If her dry,nonproductive cough becomes very troublesome, switching to a DM cough syrup,according to instructions, can offer relief of persistent hacking cough.
