She should probably have the breast abscess drained/biopsied and treated prior to having the upper endoscopy. This is especially true if the upper endoscopy is routine and there is no acute reason for the endoscopy. Her GI doctor should know about the breast abscess and its treatment to make a decision as to the best timing for the endoscopy. Good luck to both of you!
