I went for check up of a wound. dr had a broken nail and wiping his blood with tissue. he then wore vinyl gloves and touched my wound to check it thorougly. can it transmit hiv if he was hiv positive and had some blood on gloves while wearing?

The virus can't penetrate the vinyl gloves to contaminate your wound and that is the purpose of gloves. Of course, the transmission can happen if HIV is present in doctor's blood and his blood is in direct contact with your open wound during the examination. You should not worry too much because of too many assumptions in the second scenario. Take care.
