It means the thyroid nodule that was biopsied is indeterminate and low risk. Surgery is not usually indicated. Assuming no previous thyroid cancer history and that the nodule is not large enough to cause an impact on surrounding structures, the most probable next step is repeating the FNA at some point in the next 12 months. Check with your doctor
