Both eczema and psoriasis can occur like this. Did the dermatologist do a biopsy of the affected skin? That would be one way to determine which of the 2 it is. Another way would be to give a treatment specific to one of them and see if it gets better/resolves. If it doesn’t resolve by treating for one, then treat for the other. But a biopsy would probably give a quicker diagnosis. Good luck!
