Not simple. Untreated sleep apnea can lead to hypertension, strokes, and cardiovascular events. Obstructive sleep apnea seems more responsive to treatments than Central Sleep Apnea. Diligence and supervision by a physician appear the safest long-term course. Most patients with sleep disorders have complex co-morbidities. You will not have an uneventful journey. Best of luck.
