A ruptured cerebral aneurysm has a poor prognosis. 50% do not survive admission to a hospital, and perhaps 60% of survivors last over one year following the bleed. A prolonged coma is ominous. Have a conference with the hospital team and discuss the next appropriate steps. Perhaps an EEG can provide objectification.
