Ask your doctor: It depends on what your specific problem is. If it's an overuse injury, probably rest would be best, but if it's due deconditioning, then exercising regularly would be good for you. Talk to your doctor about what he/she recommends.

Sensitivity?: Not sure what that means. Was there an injury? Any swelling? Seems like you should have your knee evaluated prior to exercising.
