A member asked:

If someone suffers a traumatic brain injury in early adolescence, can it inflict lifelong sleep problems? like hypersomnia or insomnia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A traumatic brain injury, if severe, can result in lifelong consequences, but rehabilitation programs such as speech therapy can help immensely. Sleep disorders are not uncommon, even post-traumatic narcolepsy, but some are secondary to the emotional issues, such as depression. Have an overnight sleep study and uncover the answers.
