It would be best to find out what the ectopic beats are from before taking certain blood pressure medicines like beta blockers or calcium channel blockers as these medicines can affect the heart rate. Other medications for blood pressure do not affect the heart rate or rhythm so it does depend on the type of blood pressure medicine you are referring to.These are prescription medicines.

Many people with hypertension have ectopic heart beats and take antihypertensive medications that don't exacerbate their ectopy. As mentioned, some blood pressure medications, like beta blockers & certain calcium channel blockers, may suppress ectopic beats while lowering BP. I think it's very important that a cardiologist completely evaluate your cardiac status and treat you.
