You need to have this evaluated ASAP. If you go to an ER, they can evaluate it via x-rays and CT scan or MRI as well as examine it to find out what is wrong. Orthopedics can also be called in to see you, depending on what the issue is or you can see them in the office with the test results so they can diagnose and treat the issue. There are many possibilities so an evaluation is needed. Good luck!

You appear to possess a history of chronic knee symptoms, and this implicates degenerative progression with a current exacerbation, such as cartilaginous or tendon damage. Best to see an orthopedic surgeon ASAP. In the meantime, a Velcro knee support may help.
