Hello. i'm taking fluoxetine motivest brand with 10mg papertab dosage. is it generally safe to switch between different brands of fluoxetine but with the same dosage. coz a pharmacist gave another brand of fluoxetine to us. thanks?

Generic fluoxetine is made by different companies and therefore there are different brands of the medication. The original brand is Prozac. It is fine to switch between the different brands with the same dose. On rare occasion, a patient will notice that one brand is more effective (usually the original brand) and if a doctor wants the original brand they can specify on the prescription.
