I fell down some stairs 3 weeks ago and stopped myself with my elbow. x-rays were clear but i'm feeling a lot of funny bone pain still.

Bruised nerve: A direct impact injury to the elbow without fracture can be a contusion including the ulnar nerve. Ulnar nerve contusions will cause pain, numbness and tingling that will usually spontaneously resolve within a few weeks. Keep the elbow moving normally in the meantime, and protect the inner elbow from direct impact irritation to avoid further nerve problems. Elbow padding is an option.

Ulnar nerve: Consider limiting elbow flexion. The ulnar nerve has the most tension when the elbow is bent (ie sleeping).
