Not that likely: Dislocated elbow in an eight year old is very uncommon but not unheard of /dislocation of the elbow is a very serious injury
tip of the elbow is the olecranon and usually not involved directly in a dislocation
if you are concerned you must talk with your treating surgeon or seek another opinion.
