If your BUN & creatinine are normal, detrol will not build up abnormally in your system and will primarily work on the overactive bladder. If it blocks bladder emptying too strongly, back up of urine into the ureters could lead to kidney infections so be alert to any severe urinary retention. As long as your bladder empties properly, you should be ok.
