Hello dr's,would an oral syphilis chancre be obvious to the eye or would you be able to feel it? if my male partner had syphilis would a chancre be more obvious to the eye if on the genitals? thanks?

Syphilis chancres almost always are very obvious anywhere on the body. If you have been exposed or otherwise think you are at risk, get care including testing. If you have had sexual contact with someone known to have syphilis, you need penicillin treatment without waiting for a chancre or for test results. Get care if in doubt; your local NHS GUM clinic would be an excellent source for care.

Yes it will be - lips , inside of mouth, tongue. If the partner had a chancer on the penis it would be visible easily.
