What are his symptoms? The finding you are describing is non-specific and it could be anything from pneumonia to tuberculosis to an inflammatory process. If he is having symptoms, he should see a lung doctor to be evaluated so a diagnosis can be made. He may need a bronchoscopy so that samples can be obtained and sent to the lab for a definitive diagnosis. So, see a lung doctor. Good luck!
