A member asked:

Is a 10.4 calcium score in a 26 year old high enough to be cancer? ionized calcium was taken a month prior and was normal? can a bladder infection cause calcium elevation?

You had ionized calcium (Ca) checked previously then this mildly elevated calcium (mild hypercalcemia) is not new to you. Bladder infection should not raise serum Ca. At you age, I would not think about cancer first as the etiology of hypercalcemia because there are more common conditions which cause mild hypercalcemia. You need some basic works-up if mild hypercalcemia is persistent. Take care.
