Depending on what is in the local anesthetic, the anesthetic and propranolol may affect one another. Because your dentist will know which anesthetic they’ll use, it’s best to alert them to your taking propranolol. They may use a different anesthetic, give specific, short-term propranolol instructions, or involve the doctor who prescribed you propranolol in propranolol dosage decisions.
