Im taking effexor er. my doctor started me out at 37.5mg, then we went to 75mg, and i just started taking 150mg 5 days ago. my question is, how long does each new dose take to work? is it still 4-8 weeks for each new dose increase? thank you?

No, there is no need to wait for 4-8 weeks for increasing the dose. By this excerpt from Drugs. com: "doses may be increased in daily increments of up to 75 mg orally at intervals of no less than 4 days". Take care.
