A member asked:

I'm having normal bowel movement with no abdominal pain. however, i have excessive flatulence and i sometimes discharge white mucus upon passing gas, what could be the cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Excessive flatulence can be from intolerance to lactose milk, products, or beans or other foods. Mucus in the stool is non-specific as long as your stools or regular with no blood usually it would not be a cause for concern.
